The only tobacco manufactory in the world where the entire value creation takes place in a single country. From the tobacco seed to the finished pack.
Heimat is an independent, owner-managed Swiss tobacco and hemp manufactory based in Steinach on Lake Constance, Canton St. Gallen. We produce Swiss natural tobacco, Swiss hemp flowers and functional hemp teas – regionally grown, processed in our own manufactory, available in over 3,000 points of sale in Switzerland.
Nature & Craftsmanship – no industry. No tricks.
Heimat was not created in an office. But between cigarette paper, hemp flower and a single question:
"Can't this be done better?" If a product is consumed daily, you should know where it comes from. Who grew it. Who processed it. And what is really in it. What began with our invention, the world's first hemp cigarette, is today a product range with a stance – legal, tested and always one step ahead. We create products that ensure origin carries weight again.

Everything from one Heimat.
Our tobacco grows on Swiss fields. Our hemp in Swiss indoor facilities. Both are processed in our small manufactory in Steinach on Lake Constance. We know the soils in which our tobacco grows. We know the people behind every harvest. And we know every batch that leaves our manufactory. In an industry normally characterised by global supply chains, anonymous raw materials and international commodity trading, we consciously take a different path:
- Swiss raw materials: tobacco and hemp from regional agriculture
- Swiss processing: manufactory in Steinach SG
- Swiss production: own facilities, own hands
- Swiss value creation: every franc stays in the country
The entire production chain remains in our Heimat. This makes us today the only tobacco manufactory in the world where the complete value creation takes place within a single country.

What is processed with us comes from real hands – not from factory systems. Tobacco, hemp, herbs, cellulose: our raw materials are as natural as possible and consciously selected. We process slowly, in a controlled manner and with a standard that machines alone cannot achieve: feel. We believe in plants. And in people who take them seriously.

Wo wird Heimat Tabak angebaut?
Unser Tabak wächst auf Feldern in neun Schweizer Kantonen: Aargau, Bern, Freiburg, Jura, Luzern, Schaffhausen, Thurgau, Waadt und Zürich. Verarbeitet wird er in unserer Manufaktur in Steinach am Bodensee, Kanton St. Gallen.
Was unterscheidet Heimat von anderen Tabakmarken?
Heimat ist die einzige Tabakmanufaktur weltweit, bei der die gesamte Wertschöpfung in einem einzigen Land entsteht – vom Tabaksamen über Anbau, Trocknung, Verarbeitung bis zur fertigen Packung. Keine globalen Lieferketten, keine Zwischenhändler, kein Commodity-Tabak.

Stellt Heimat auch Hanfprodukte her?
Ja. Heimat produziert Schweizer Indoor-Hanfblüten, patentierte tabakfreie CBD Pre-Rolls, funktionale Hanftees, Cannabis Ice Tea sowie Hanf-Tabak-Mischungen. Alles laborgeprüft, alles Swiss Made.
Ist Heimat nachhaltig?
Da unser Tabak und Hanf in der Schweiz angebaut und verarbeitet werden, entfallen die langen Transportwege internationaler Tabakkonzerne. Heimat hat damit den kleinsten CO₂-Fussabdruck in der Tabakindustrie weltweit.
