Heimat is an independent, owner-managed Swiss hemp and tobacco manufactory based in Steinach am Bodensee, canton of St. Gallen. We produce Swiss natural tobacco, Swiss hemp flowers and functional hemp teas: grown regionally, processed in our own manufactory and available at more than 3,000 points of sale in Switzerland.

Heimat wasn't born in an office. It was born between cigarette papers, hemp flowers and a single question: “Can't this be done better?”

What began with our invention, the world's first hemp cigarette, grew into the best-known Swiss cult brand for hemp, CBD and modern indulgence culture.

Our tobacco grows on fields in nine Swiss cantons: Aargau, Bern, Fribourg, Jura, Lucerne, Schaffhausen, Thurgau, Vaud and Zurich. It is processed in our manufactory in Steinach on Lake Constance, canton of St. Gallen.
What sets Heimat apart from other tobacco brands?
Heimat is the only tobacco manufactory in the world where the entire value chain happens in one single country: from the tobacco seed through growing, drying and processing to the finished pack. No global supply chains, no middlemen, no commodity tobacco.

Does Heimat also make hemp products?
Yes. Heimat produces Swiss indoor hemp flowers, patented tobacco-free CBD pre-rolls, functional hemp teas, Cannabis Ice Tea and hemp-tobacco blends. All lab-tested, all Swiss Made.
Is Heimat sustainable?
Because our tobacco and hemp are grown and processed in Switzerland, there are none of the long transport routes of international tobacco groups. This gives Heimat the smallest CO₂ footprint in the tobacco industry worldwide.
